The pupils at kalumwange basic school have stopped attending classes due to shortage of class rooms.
This school is called kalumwange basic school which is along Kaoma, Kasempa road in Kaoma district in western province and has more than 900 pupils.
The school has two offices and five classrooms. When I visited this school I found that only one class room is working the rest of the class rooms have been occupied by teachers. These teachers have been staying in these class rooms with ther respected families for over two years now. The houses they were supposed to go are still occupied by three retired teachers who have been waiting for there repatriation money for over 5 years now. The money that they have been wait for is K5,000 each so that they can vacant these houses.
