The chartered plane carrying boxes of ballot papers which was scheduled to arrive at midday Tuesday has been delayed and will arrive at 13 hours Zambian time.
Electoral Commission of Zambia Director Priscilla Isaacs confirmed the delay and reassured the nation that the ballots will arrive soon.
Meanwhile, United Party for National Development National Youth Coordinator, Brian Hapunda has disclosed the just ended printing of ballot papers was a great challenge.
Hapunda said the printing of the election material in Durban, South Africa was an uphill task as some of the information the ECZ was sending was in an up hazard manner.
He further said his party is delighted that the process is over and hopes to see Zambians vote in a peaceful and calm environment free from violence.
