Plane doing aerial patrols at Mukobeko prison in near crash

There was panic in the Zambia Air Force – ZAF when one of the  FA 528 SAB aircrafts deployed to be doing the unnecessary aerial patrols at Mukobeko prison where the opposition UPND president Hakainde Hichilema is detained was forced to do an emergency landing at Chililalila after it developed a fault in the early hours today.

Sources close to ZAF have disclosed that the aircraft, which is one of the old defective planes developed a fault when the tail shaft stopped rotation and attributed the problem to unfriendly temperatures as the plane system could not moderate it.

“Upon discovering the fault the pilot communicated with the technical support team who directed him to fly back to Mumbwa or Lusaka but sensing that it couldn’t cover that distance the pilot decided to have an emergency landing at Chililalila airstrip near the Lusaka – Kabwe road. ZAF aircraft technicians at Kohima were then detailed to work on it”, said the source based at ZAF headquarters. The plane has since been serviced and flown back to Lusaka after the emergency landing ground was sealed off by PF thugs clad in police uniforms.

To find a way of stealing money through fake operations costs, ZAF commander and PF cadre Eric Chimese has recommended that two aircrafts be allocated to conduct aerial surveillance at the highly fortified Mukobeko Maximum prison which in addition to prison warders has also been reinforced by more armed soldiers and policemen who have declared a curfew within the prison camp as there are no movements after 20:00hrs.

Using the same type of aircraft, in 2014 ZAF deputy commander Major General General Muliokela Muliokela and Colonel Bright Mweene died in an air crash in Gwembe. However the crash later came to be known as having been a planned assassination of the two by Chimese.
