Plans by parents to demonstrate against closure of universities gain momentum

unzaPlans by parents with children at both UNZA and CBU to demonstrate against the indefinite closure of the universities by the uncaring PF regime are gaining momentum.

But the PF has vowed to use its well known method of  response: policy brutality.

The Watchdog understands that parents have been speaking and will soon fix a date for the peaceful demonstrations. It is understood that even parents who do not have children at the two universities but concerned at the miserable way the PF is mismanaging the education sector will join the demos in solidarity.

But the PF through its armed wing called Zambia police has described the parent’s intentions as ‘lawlessness’ and have vowed to use force.

Speaking ZNBC TV 2 breakfast program morning live police Spokesperson Charity Munganga said police will not condone any demonstrations.

Munganga said the police will not tolerate lawlessness and that they will not hesitate to arrest anyone who will try to bring disorder and disturb the peace.
