Police in Kabwe have again detained freelance investigative journalist Wilson Pondamali on allegations of aggravated robbery, breaking into a building and they have grabbed all his phones and journalism gadgets. The offence is not bailable, meaning that he will have to remain in police custody until the matter is disposed of.
Police were by 12 hours busy gallivanting here and there maybe trying to get a search warrant to go and search his house. Wilson is being charged based on what has been appearing on a website called Zambian Fox. Zambia Fox Website is operated by Kabwe based crooked lawyer Tutwa Ngulube. Information so far indicates that it is Ngulube who has set up the journalist to be arrested for a non bailable offence.
Pondamali and Ngulube have been fighting and have a civl matter in the kabwe High Court where Ngulube has sued Pondamali for defamation.
Ngulube runs a dirty illegal bus station in Kabwe which Pondamali exposed in the Daily Nation.

In July 2013, Wilson  was one of three journalists who were arrested and detained when their homes were raided by police at 4am. The other journalists were charged and released. Wilson was  handcuffed to a hospital bed after falling ill when jailed.

He was charged with three different offences, including possession of military pamphlets,  but was acquitted by the courts after almost two years.
