Police arrest Andrew Banda on charges of defaming Sata

Police in Lusaka have arrested Andrew Banda for allegedly defaming ailing dictator Michael Michael Sata.

And former president Rupiah Banda entered the prison cell where his son is detained at the notorious Woodlands police station.

Andrew Banda is alleged to have uttered some defamatory remarks against Sata while in Chipata recently

The police in Lusaka who detained Andrew told him that they have to lock him uop until they find transport to ‘deliver’ him to the police in Chipata who will lay the charges.

But Andrew’s father offered to personally drive his son to Chipata so that the police can charge him.

Banda senior seems to be acting to prevent the police from detaining his son overnight in cells.

The police at Woodlands declined the former president’s offer prompting him to  enter the cell where his son is been held.
