Police arrest PF thugs after Guy Scott’s complaint

The Police have arrested four PF cadres suspected to have attacked Southern Province delegates to the PF General Conference weeks after the incidence occurred.
This follows a complaint by Acting President Guy Scott Yesterday Wednesday that delegates from Southern province were brutally attacked but the police had failed to arrest anybody due to political interference.
Acting police spokesperson Brenda Katongo claimed Thursday that the four suspects were in fact arrested on 27th November and will appear in court on Friday 12th December charged with assault and malicious damage.
She said the attackers were armed with various offensive weapons and broke and damaged the Marcopolo bus and assaulted six passengers in Lusaka on their way to Kabwe.
The police never issued any statement after the attack and it is surprising that they are now saying the suspects were arrested two weeks ago on 27th November 2014.
