The PF police have backed down and disregarded their president Edgar Lungu’s direct orders to remove UPND leaders Hakainde Hichilema and Geoffrey Mwamba.
The police had no choice but to withdraw after scores of residents started mobilising themselves in order fight for their leaders.
In the morning president Lungu said;
“Use the force within your abilities to make sure that Hakainde, GBM and their UPND are ejected from Solwezi as quickly as possible,”
But it was residents who responded fast and went to where HH and GBM were to defend them.
Sending danger, the police withdrew.
The two, and other UPND leaders are currently campaigning in Solwezi.
