Police fail to trace suspected rapist

 

The Zambia Police say they don’t know the whereabouts of suspected Chinese rapist CHE DELONG. He is accused of raping a fellow Chinese PEI YING.

Source at SINOMACH a Chinese Parastatal Company have revealed that CHE DELONG, 35, fled the country last month.

Police say they not aware of his whereabouts, but could not give further information whether manhunt has been lunched.

Fugitive DeLong, has been resident in Zambia for over 7 years has worked for as a Chef before he was arrested for rape.

He is accused to have unlawful carnal knowledge of Ying, 23, between December 22 and December 30, 2016.

On February 10, 2017, Lusaka Magistrate Phaides Hamaundu issued a bench warrant against Che, of house number 40, Millennium Village, Long Acres, Lusaka.

Delong on February 24th again failed to appear before Lusaka Magistrate Hamaundu for the second time in two weeks and none of his lawyers was in court to explain the accused’s reason of staying away from court.

Ms. Hamaundu adjourned the matter to March 21, 2017, for return of the bench warrant.
