Police in Chipata have picked up former President Rupiah Banda’s son Andrew for questioning in relation to the violence that erupted in yesterday’s Mkaika by-elections even which the ruling party was ‘piped senseless’.
Andrew was picked from the hospital where he was taken after being bartered by PF thugs supervised by Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba.
He is currently detained at Chipata police station though he is in pain.
A police source has told the Zambian Watchdog that they do not why they have been given orders to arrest Andrew who has a swollen face and was the victim of the violence.
Meanwhile, celebrations in Katete continue as people are sharing the few beer they can afford.
