Police open inquiry in Sakala’s tribal letter to Eastern Province Chiefs

The Police have opened an inquiry in the letter that was written by confused Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDA) leader Edwin Sakala urging chiefs in Eastern Province to ban the UPND in the region.
And the Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has refused to neither deny nor confirm reports that the police is planning to arrest UPND Vice President Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has confirmed and said an inquiry has been opened though there was no formal complaint from the UPND.
UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka had called on Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja to arrest Sakala for inciting both tribal and civil war in the country.
Chief Nzamane to whom Sakala addressed his tribal and divisive letter has since condemned Sakala calling him a tribalist himself.
It is not clear though whether the police is just window dressing or will arrest Edwin Sakala who is the brother to Richard Sakala the PF vuvuzela.
And the Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has refused to neither deny nor confirm reports that the police is planning to arrest UPND Vice President Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba.
Katongo stressed that for now she will neither confirm nor deny the reports over police intentions to arrest Mr Mwamba.
