Police pick up Lungu’ ‘son’ for questioning

Police Pick Edgar Lungu “Son”
Police have picked up a putative son and close confidante of former President Edgar Lungu for questioning.

Police picked up Edwin Mwendapole of Chawama who was also State House driver for being in possession of two Marcopolo buses which he owns under Mwekache Investments Limited.

Mwendapole is known as “son” of the President as he has grown up under his watch and care in Chawama. He was also responsible for campaign material distribution to most constituencies during the 2015, 2016 and 2021 elections.

By press time, he was being queried how he bought the two buses that operate from intercity to chipata.
