Police in Lusaka have summoned President Edgar Lungu’s political advisor Kaizer Zulu for questioning after Chilufya Tayali reported him for threatening violence.

This is according to a police call-out, which read: “Notice to employer.  I have to inform you that Mr Kaizer Zulu, said to be in your employment, is required at Lusaka Central Police Station on July 8, 2015 at 10:00 hours for the purpose of interview.” The notice further requested Zulu to report himself to criminal investigations officer Mr Mbale in room E1 first floor at Central Police. “He (your employee) will not be detained longer than absolutely necessary,”

Zulu is said to have phoned Tayali and threatened him with violence.

Zulu is no stranger to violence.

In 2013, he was involved in the killing of Menyani Zulu. See here
