Police are today expected to arrest and charge embattled former health deputy minister Solomon Musonda who recently shot a PF youth Jackson Musaka in the head in Serenje.
Dr Musonda has been summoned to appear at Lusaka’s Woodlands Police were he is expected to be formally arrested and charged.
Journalists are gathered at Woodlands police awaiting Dr Musonda appearance and subsequent arrest.
President Rupiah Banda today relieved Dr Musonda of his duties after receiving a report from the Director of Public Prosecutions indicating that he has recommended for his prosecution following the shooting incident in his constituency.
Mr Banda said he wanted Dr Musonda to concentrate on his case.
The president also said that he wanted the judicial process to take its course in the matter.
There has been mounting pressure for Dr Musonda’s arrest and his removal from Government following the shooting incident.
