Politicians challenged to speak out on corruption

Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) President Rueben Lifuka has challenged political parties on the fight against corruption as it is a critical issue in the country.

Lifuka said it is unfortunate that politicians have not stated how they intended to fight and curb corruption in the nation which is mostly in the public service.

He said political players should clearly outline their action plane and what steps they will take in the fight so that the electorate can scrutinise the candidates who desires their vote.

Lifuka said their actions and promises are important so that citizens are able to make decisions that will benefit them, adding that if political aspirants do not state their plans now chances of them fighting corruption in future are slim.
