Resident of Mansa today snubbed President Edgar Lungu who is in Luapula province as only a handful of people mostly civil servants went to the airport to welcome him.
And President Lungu is reportedly angered by the poor reception by the resident and has since taken to task the Provincial leadership.
Residents in Mansa were heard complaining of the high cost of living which they blamed on the Patriotic Front ( PF ).
“Awe ababena naba filwa. ..meaning this one has failed,” some one resident. The residents mostly complained about the Highh cost of living and that only a few people seemed to be benefiting from the leadership of President Lungu.
“Twafuluka naba shikulu ba Sata aba niba MMD kuti baleta abantu twatafishe? (Meaning we miss the late President Sata, this is more of MMD,” they were heard saying.
Some PF refused to welcome as they are protesting that they are being sidelined by the New comers in the party and positions are being given to those that insulted them while in the opposition but president was embracing those people at their expense.
Meanwhile President Lungu has proceeded to Lunga district. The Head of State is in the province for a two day visit where he is expected to commissions one water project supported by the Japanese government
