Movement for Multi Party Democracy (MMD) Vice President for Political affairs has told Mansa residents to prepare to be insulted by President Sata when he visits the town on Tuesday 19/11/13. Dr. Michael Kaingu has also called on Zambians to prepare for the worst time ahead because the economy is in reverse gear.
Speaking when he addressed a campaign meeting at Namwandwe in Mansa Central Constituency today, Dr. Kaingu told the residents that there is nothing that Sata knows apart from insulting.
“You prepare yourself to receive insults when Sata comes here on Tuesday. That is all he knows insults. I’m hundred per cent sure that he will annoy you by insulting you. At least he will insult but what surprises me is that you still vote for his candidate or him after receiving the insults” he said.
And Dr. Kaingu said at the same meeting that Zambians should brace themselves for hard times in the nearest future because the National economy is in reverse gear. He also called on college and University students to forget about getting employed in the next two years because of the employment freeze the government has implemented. On the economy Kaingu said the days of Pamela (Small Mealie-meal packs) is slowly approaching because most ordinary Zambians will not be able to afford a 25 kilograme bag of mealie-meal. Dr. Kaingu is in Mansa to drum up support for the MMD candidate Alfred Malama Kapolyo in the November 22, by-election. President Sata is expected to be in Mansa on Tuesday. Meanwhile power cuts have continued to be experienced in Mansa town. Almost everyday half of Mansa has no electricity. At press time there was no power in Mansa.
