President Banda assents to NGO bill

rb1President Rupiah Banda has assented to the controversial Non-Government organisations Bill making it law.

State house spokesperson Dickson Jere said in a press statement to the Watchdog Thursday afternoon that the president also signed the Health Professional Bill.

 

The president assented to thirteen (13) Bills, which were recently passed by the National Assembly, including a Constitutional Amendment Bill, which changed the Budget Cycle.

 

President Banda has assented to the following Bills:

Constitutional of Zambia (Amendment Bill), The Health Professions Bill, The Public – Private Partnership Bill, The Information and Communications Technologies Bill, The Non-Governmental Organisations Bill, The Electronic Communications Bill, The Postal Services, The Zambia Tanzania Pipeline (Amendment Bill).

Others are, The Legal Practitioners (Amendment Bill), The Zambia Law Development Commission (Amendment Bill), The Notaries Public and Notarial Functions (Amendment Bill), The Legal Practitioners (Amendment Bill), The Zambia Tanzania Pipeline (Amendment Bill), The Constitutional Offices (Emoluments) (Amendment Bill), The Presidential Emoluments (Amendment Bill) and the Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices Emoluments (Amendment Bill).
