Rupiah Banda, the president of Zambia last night returned to Lusaka.
President Banda arrined in Lusaka around 23 hours.
And his spokesperson Dickson Jere confirmed that president Banda on Wednesday returned from Rome, Italy where he attended the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) Annual Summit.
President Banda was among several Heads of State and Government who addressed the FAO Summit on issues of Food Security and Climate Change.
According to Jere, President Banda was among the first speakers at the summit.
He said that while in Rome, President Banda held bilateral meetings with Bingu Wa Mtharika, President of Malawi where they discussed various issues affecting the two countries and the African continent.
“The President was accompanied by First Lady Madam Thandiwe Banda while Hon Brian Chituwo, MP Minister of Agriculture who was in the presidential delegation remained in Rome to attend ministerial meetings at the FAO headquarters,’ said Jere
