President Rupiah Banda will tomorrow join members of the Judiciary to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ndola High Court on the Copperbelt Province, his special assistant for press Dickson Jere has revealed.
The President will travel to Ndola on Friday following an invitation by Chief Justice of the Republic of Zambia Justice Ernest Sakala, to be the Guest of Honour at the Golden Jubilee Cerebrations for the Ndola High Court.
The event will be attended by Supreme Court and High Court Judges.
“President Banda will be accompanied to Ndola by Ministry of Justice Deputy Minister Todd Chilembo and other Government Officials. The President is scheduled to return to Lusaka on the same day,” said Jere.
Meanwhile, President Banda will on Saturday, 5th December 2009 join his Zimbabwean counterpart, Robert Gabriel Mugabe in Chirundu to officially open the One-Stop Border Post between the two countries.
The President will be accompanied by Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Felix Mutati and Home Affairs MinisterLameck Mangani.
The President is expected to return to Lusaka immediately after commissioning of the border post, according to Dickson Jere
