Alliance for democracy and development leader Charles Milupi has called on the investigative wings to probe the alleged arms deal involving president Rupiah Banda.
Mr. Milupi says that the revelations by former defense Minister George Mpombo should be taken with the seriousness it deserves.
Mr. Milupi says that the Zambian government should institute the necessary wings to look into the allegations by the former defense minister.
He says that failure to investigate such matters might compromise the security situation in the country.
Mr. Milupi has pleaded with Zambians not to dismiss the allegations by the former defense minister stating that law enforcement agencies should come forward.
And Mr. Milupi has stated that the endorsement Republican president has received from southern province chiefs will not influence the outcome of elections.
He has further called on republican president Rupiah Banda not to abuse the power of traditional leaders in the country.
