President Banda to travel to Turkey

President Rupiah Banda is tomorrow scheduled to leave for Istambul, Turkey, to attend the Fourth United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries (LDCs).

A statement from State House says President Banda will also meet the Turkish President Abdullah Gul, for bilateral discussions.

The Fourth United Nations Conference on LDCs is a forum for poor countries to re-examine the entire development paradigm in light of existing and emerging global challenges and existing poverty.

President Banda will be accompanied to Turkey by Minister of Finance Situmbeko Musokotwane and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kabinga Pande.
