President Rupiah Banda is on Wednesday (Tomorrow) expected to travel to South Africa where he will be for three days.
A statement from Zambia State house says ‘The President is due to hold high-level talks with President Zuma at Union Building in Pretoria and thereafter the two leaders will witness the signing of key Memoranda of Understanding and Agreements between Zambia and South Africa in various fields.”
The statement furher says president Banda will later address the Zambia – South Africa Business Forum where several Zambian businessmen and women will interact with South African investors. There will also be presentations on business opportunities in Zambia by the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA).
“President Banda will be accompanied to South Africa by First Lady Madam Thandiwe Banda, Foreign Minister Hon. Kabinga Pande, MP, Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Hon. Felix Mutati, MP, Energy and Water Development Minister Hon. Kenneth Konga, MP, Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources Minister Hon. Catherine Namugala, MP, Finance and National Planning Deputy Minister Hon. Chileshe Kapwepwe, MP, and Parliamentary Chief Whip Hon. Vernon Mwaanga, MP’ reads the statement.
President Banda and his delegation will also attend a State Banquet to be hosted by President Zuma in honour of the Zambian President.
