President Lungu orders Defense Ministry to establish three military barracks

President Edgar Lungu has ordered the Ministry of Defense to establish three military barracks in three provinces amid the worsening economic situation the country is going through.

Defense Deputy Minister Christopher Mulenga disclosed Thursday that the President has ordered the Defense Ministry to establish three military barracks in Muchinga, North Western and Southern provinces to beef up security.

Mulenga said the barracks in the three provinces will be located in Chinsali, Solwezi and Choma adding that the move is aimed at increasing security in border areas.

President Lungu has since directed that money be found for the establishment of the military barracks.
