President Lungu planning to ‘force’ soldiers to vote for him

armyOutgoing President Edgar Lungu and his PF government is planning to intimidate defence forces into voting for him by making them vote from their Barracks.
And it has been revealed that the defence force ‘special recruitment ‘ is solely for the purpose of employing dependants to defence force personnel in exchange for votes.
Intelligence sources have revealed that separate voting streams will be created from polling stations that are close to military barracks so that soldiers and their dependants are monitored on how they will vote.
‘Soldiers will be made to vote from Barracks together with their dependants so that they are closely monitored and intimidated into voting for President Lungu,’ disclosed one intelligence source.
And it has been revealed that the defence force ‘special recruitment ‘is solely for the purpose of employing dependants to defence force personnel in exchange for votes.
Intelligence sources have told the Zambian Watchdog that soldiers have been asked to submit updated lists of dependants so that all who meet voting age but not registered are given voters’ cards and urged to vote for President Lungu in exchange for jobs in the defence force.
The dependants have however been told that their jobs will only be secure if outgoing President Edgar Lungu wins the August 11 Presidential election.
