Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) president Nevers Mumba has charged that President Lungu’s stay in State House will be one of the most complicated and miserable.
And Mumba has stressed that the forth coming Solwezi West parliamentary by-election will be a useless and fraudulent election which should not be accepted by anyone.
Mumba was reacting to the withdrawing of the MMD candidate for Solwezi West who pulled out on nomination day and announced that he was going to support the PF instead.
Mumba alleged that the MMD candidate was bribed by State House to withdraw and charged that President Lungu had invited the MMD candidate to State House on Monday where he was paid money by a known State House employee.
He complained that the Electoral Commission of Zambia dismissed his complaints on grounds that they lacked merit.
He said the scheme was planned because even after the candidate finally withdrew ECZ refused to extend the filing in period by a day despite being told by the MMD leadership that their candidate had been compromised by President Lungu and they needed time to replace him.
Mumba said the police protected the MMD candidate Fordson Musele after he withdrew and whisked him away while the returning officer simply smiled and said it was his democratic right to withdraw.
And Mumba has stressed that the forthcoming Solwezi West parliamentary by-election will be a useless and fraudulent election which should not be accepted by anyone adding that the MMD had evidence proving that their candidate was paid by the PF to withdraw.
He stressed that he had warned late President Sata that he was not going to enjoy his stay in State House and took him punch for punch and warned that he was going to take President Lungu on.
‘Lungu’s stay in State House will be one of the most complicated and miserable,’ Mumba warned.
He said the battle will be between the devil and right because President Lungu sees no line between good and evil.
