President Museveni pays $30,000 to broadcast Uganda Vs. Zambia match live

As a gift to Ugandans upon reaching the momentous occasion, President Museveni has offered to pay $30,000 (about sh75m) fees for Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) to screen live the make-or-break Uganda Cranes game against Zambia to be played at Namboole stadium on October 13.

Uganda will host Zambia in the second leg of the final qualifying match for the African Cup of Nations 2013 competition to be held in South Africa.

Uganda lost the first leg played in Ndola, Zambia 1-0 and she needs a two goals superior score for her to qualify.

The Federation of Uganda Football Association has put the gate charges at 40,000 shillings ordinary ticket, 75,000 shillings silver ticket and 120,000 shillings gold ticket.

However, many football fans have complained of the high ticket charges which are double the cost of the match in Zambia. The ordinary ticket in Ndola cost 15,000 Uganda shilling.
