President Michael Sata has arrived in Harare, Zimbabwe for a three-day State visit.
Sata is accompanied by his wife Christine Kaseba and Foreign Affairs Minister Given Lubinda. They were received by
Zimbabwean President Robertt Mugabe and his wife Grace at the Harare International Airport.
President SATA and his entourage arrived at 15. 15 hours aboard the Presidential Challenger Jet.
Sata was given a 21-gun salute before he inspected a guard of honour mounted by the Zimbabwe Army.
The Presidential entourage was soon after the airport ceremony escorted to the Rainbow Towers Hotel in the city center by President
Mugabe and his team.
Later this evening, the President and his entourage will feast during a state banquet to be hosted by President Mugabe and his wife at State House.
Prior to the state banquet, the two Presidents will hold brief bilateral talks at State House which will be followed by the signing
of two agreements in the Tourism, and Science and Technology sectors.
Sat will tomorrow on Thursday attend a wreath laying ceremony at the Heroes Acre in the city center in the morning before
proceeding on a conducted tour of the Zimbabwe Dairiboard.
The President will later in the afternoon travel about 30 kilometers south-east of Harare to Goromonzi to tour Tyrone commercial farms, one of the success stories of the government’s farm repossession policy.
Sata and his entourage will on Friday morning depart Harare for Bulawayo where he is expected to officiate at the Zimbabwe
International Trade Fair before returning to Lusaka later in the day.
