President Sata dispatches K 5 million to fight Chitimukulu

President Michael Sata on Friday 21/03/14 released K 5 million (K5billion un-rebased) tax payers money to the Office of the Muchinga Province Minister Colonel Gerry Chanda to sponsor several people to initiate a process of over throwing Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people, intelligence sources have disclosed.

The hard-cash was delivered by State House officials under tight security.

Sata appointed Chief Chewe of Chinsali District in Muchinga Province as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba while traditional leaders elected Henry Sosala.

“The President has released money to Muchinga province to mobilise people including Chief Chewe to over throw Chitimukulu. In the coming weeks there will be increased activities in Muchinga and Northern Province. The money is K5 million re-based it was delivered in cash to Muchinga,” the source said .

The source said the money will be spent on transport, accommodation and other logistics for one month for Chief Chewe and 3o other tradition leaders (Headmen). Apart from money from State House, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has also been tasked to come up with its own budget for publicity.

Yesterday(25/03/14) Chief Chewe was on Kasama based radio Mano denouncing the process used to select Henry Manga Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu. Chief Chewe was accompanied by several other traditional elders.
