Prosecutors want to block inquiry on HH

Prosecutors in the case where opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema is accused of treason  have now told the court that they have received ‘instructions’ to commit matter to high court forthwith without inquiry.

But lawyer Jack Mwimbu has informed the court that the defence is ready to proceed with preliminary inquiry and that at the last hearing the state did not object to same.
Futher Mwimbu has asked the court to take note of the comments made by Copperbelt minister Bowman Lusambo that if Accused 1 (Hakainde Hichilema) dies in prison he will be happy.

Mwimbu said court should also take note of the comments made by PF Deputy Secretary General Mumba Phiri that if the police do not act, they PF were ready to place accused 1 , HH, like a rat in hole .
