President Rupiha Banda will on Saturday attend the annual Kuomboka Ceremony of the Lozi People of Western Province, according to his spokesperson Dickson Jere.
“The President and his delegation will arrive in Western Province town of Mongu on Saturday to grace the Kuomboka ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on the same day. President Banda was invited by the Barotse Royal Establishment to officiate at this year’s ceremony,” said Jere.
President Banda will be accompanied to Western Province by Michael Kaingu Minister of Community and Social Services, Catherine Namugala Minister of Tourism and Natural Resources, Eustako Kazonga, Minister of Local Government and Housing, Solomon Musonda, and other Senior Government Officials.
The President and his delegation will return to Lusaka on Sunday.
