President Rupiah Banda will tomorrow leave for Northwestern province to campaign, according to his spokesperson Dickson Jere.
“he President will address a public rally in Mwinilunga on Sunday before moving to Mufumbwe District where he is scheduled to hold meetings and address several public rallies ahead of the April 29, 2010 parliamentary by-elections,’ said Jere.
He said an email statement that President Banda will join the ruling Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) campaign team which is supporting its candidate Mulondwe Muzungu.
“President Banda will be accompanied by Works and Supply Minister Hon. Mike Mulongoti, MP, Hon. Michael Mabenga, MP, Deputy Minister of Lands and other Senior Government Officials. The President and his delegation are due to return to Lusaka immediately after completing the scheduled business in North Western Province,’ said Jere.
