RB mourns Atta Mills

Rupiah Bwezani Banda, the fourth Zambian President, Saturday  morning signed a book of condolence in honour of the late Ghanaian President John Evans Atta Mills who died last week.

Banda described the late Head of State as a true statesman and democrat who contributed to Ghana’s economic growth despite his short reign of three years as president of the West African nation.

The former Zambian head of State arrived at the residence of the Ghanaian High Commission at 11:00 hours and was received by High Commissioner Elizabeth Afua Benneh, according to his Administrative Assistant Mikatazo Wakumelo.

Banda wished High Commissioner Benneh safe passage to Ghana for the late president’s funeral.

Ambassador Benneh thanked President Banda for finding time to sign the book of condolence.
