President Rupiah Banda has left for Namibia for a state visit at the invitation of his Namibian Counterpart Hifikepunye Pohamba.
President Banda will stop over in South Africa for meetings before proceeding to Namibia.
The President is also expected to join his South African Counterpart Jacob Zuma at a World Cup match between Brazil and Ivory Coast Sunday night.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC in Lusaka, Sunday by Special Assistant to the President, Dickson Jere.
President Banda is accompanied by First Lady Thandiwe Banda, Foreign Affairs Minister Kabinga Pande and other senior government officials.
This is the first State visit President Banda is undertaking to Namibia since be became President.
President Banda is expected back home immediately after completing his business in Namibia.
