President Rupiah Banda’s trip to China next week will include five of his ministers, State House has revealed.
President Banda was invited by Chinese president Hu Jintao.
“The President will depart for China on February 23, 2010 where he will hold talks with President Jintao and other Senior Chinese Government Officials,’ a statement from State house reads in part.
” He will be accompanied to China by the First Lady, Madam Thandiwe Banda, and five cabinet Ministers who will include Hon. Situmbeko Musokotwane, MP, Minister of Finance and National Planning, Hon. Felix Mutati, MP, Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry, Hon. Maxwell Mwale, MP, Minister of Mines and Minerals Development and Hon. Catherine [Na]Mugala, MP, Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources’, reads the state house statement.
The statement says that he will also undertake a tour of some of the leading Chinese companies before meeting African diplomats accredited to China. He his ministers will return to Zambia on March 4, 2010.
