The marketeers marched to the civic centre to complain.
As they marched under heavy presence of armed anti-riot police, the marketeers were seen raising the former ruling party, MMD symbol. Others were heard saying under MMD at least they were left to trade freely.
The markeers generally denounced the PF government accusing it of favouring street vendors. They complained that the market they want them to move to was too far away from where buyers are.
Others were heard teasing others that ‘e more money mwalefwaya… Mwaleuminapo nabakaele pa ba Sata wabufi… more money shilikwisa bangwele. Uyo twalimubika mu State House, nalabako…’ (This is the more money you wanted. You even beat up innocent people for the sake of Sata a liar. Where is the more money you dunderheads? We put him in Sata House and now he has forgotten.)
