Retire Teta; he is too sick, says Mumba

New Generation Party president Cosmo Mumba has advised president Banda to retire local government minister Ben Tetamashimba on medical grounds.
Mr. Tetamashimba is currently hospitalized at Milpark hospital in South Africa.
Mr. Mumba said that Mr. Tetamashimba cannot handle the ministry of local government given his failing health.
He said the ministry is too important for to be run by a sick person.
Mr. Mumba claimed to radio phoenix that Mr. Tetamashimba had been sick for some considerable time before he was evacuated to South Africa.
He claimed that Mr. Tetamashimba was not reporting to work for a long time.
President Rupuah Banda does seem to like the idea of being told when and how to fire or appoint ministers.
He has refused to terminate the services of education minister despite demonstrations by students and denouncements by some civil society organizations.
