RTSA prints 100, 000 driving licences just after removing Mushimba

The Road Transport and Safety Agency-RTSA, claims it has printed over 100,000 driving license cards in the past 3 weeks.

Brian Mushimba was removed as minister of communication and transport about three weeks ago. Zindaba Soko was also ‘removed’ as RATSA director a week earlier, and suddenly things are moving.

In an interview with Phoenix News, RTSA Head of Public relations Fredrick Mubanga said all driving license applicants holding temporal driving licenses will be cleared. Mubanga further guaranteed stability and continuity in the production of cards on `print on demand` basis.

Mr Mubanga says the response from the public is overwhelming and has urged the public not to panic as they will have their cards printed.

He has indicated that the agency has put in place modalities to print and clear the backlog of over 150,000 driving license cards by the end of this month.

Hopefully these are not just fake statistics by RATSA

This is fake news. Got messages of my renewed license being ready several months ago and my nephew’s license was also efficiently ready. We both got messages on how rtsa had cleaned up their system and bought sufficient material for licenses and no one should wait a long time for them. All this was before mushimbe left. Please stop trying to tarnish the name of a young, intelligent leader.
