Some thugs belonging to the ruling Movement for Multi-party Democracy in Lusaka have threatened to abduct opposition Patriotic Front (PF) leader, Michael Sata.
And MMD cadres have continued ordering traders at Intercity bus terminus to wear MMD campaign material.
The thugs, led by Watson Mtonga who says he is the the provincial Vice Chairperson for MMD in Lusaka , say they will kidnap Sata if he does not openly condemn violence perpetrated by his party cadres.
Mtonga told Muvi that the MMD youths will stage a protest at Sata’s office if he does not publicly apologise over alleged violent activities linked to his party.
And Mtonga has maintained that MMD cadres had nothing to do with Thursday’s confusions, which disrupted business in Lusaka central business district as well as the Kamwala area.
Muvi also reports that Lusaka’s call-boys and other traders at Inter-City Bus terminus were Friday again ordered to put on MMD branded regalia.
This was the third consecutive day that MMD cadres made such a directive over the call-boys at the bus terminus.
Traders, call boys and some passers-by were found clad in blue outfits branded, with President Rupiah Banda’s image.
