A huge fire has engulfed a high rise hotel called the Address in Central Dubai. Debris could be seen dropping from the 300m tall (1,000 ft) building, as fire fighters arrived at the scene.
The building is located near to the world’s tallest skyscraper the Burj Khalifa and BBC world news reports that it was not clear whether there were any casualties, but our impeccable sources have informed us that former President Rupiah Banda was on holiday in the same hotel with his family.
Banda was not only on holiday but also meeting some businessmen to finance PF’s and Edgar Lungu’s 2016 campaigns in exchange for lucrative business contracts, while many Zambians are struggling to make a single meal in a day.
We are still getting more details about this calamity which started shortly before the spectacular new year fireworks display was to start at the Burj Khalifa which is the world’s tallest skyscrapper.
