Saifwanda disappointed by fellow women

Former Minister of Gender, Sara Saifwanda has castigated women in the country for their failure to support fellow females who are vying for public office in the forthcoming tripartite elections.

Commenting on the low number of women adopted to contest positions at Parliamentary and Local Government level, Saifwanda said  the women have themselves to blame for not being selected to stand on party tickets.

She said females have failed to support each other and instead they fight among themselves and challenge one another by contesting on similar positions.

The former minister advised women to desist from fearing the unknown and stand by their colleagues who are political aspirants because only when females are united can they forge ahead and hold key decision making positions that will enable them to help foster national development.
