Mr. Sikota has told QFM news that there is need to find a lasting solution on the Barotseland agreement impasse constitutionally.
He observes that it would therefore be good for the issue to be resolved amicably in the new constitution in order for the country to continue being peaceful and united.
And Mr. Sikota hopes that the first draft constitution will contain the aspirations of Zambians adding that there is need for the country to have a constitution that will serve the interests of the people.
He adds that a lot of expert work has been done by the past constitution review commissions and that the challenge now remains with the technical committee to produce a document that will be accepted by the people of Zambia.
The technical committee is this month-end expected to release the first draft constitution that will be subject to public scrutiny.
