Salvation Army leader arrives in Zambia

The Salvation Army International World Leader from the United Kingdom (UK) has urged Zambians to continue safeguarding the peace that the country has continued to enjoy.

General Shaw Kliftton said Zambia has been a shining beacon of peace for a long time in Africa and the world at large.

ss-general-cliftonGeneral Kliftton told this to journalists shortly after arriving at the Lusaka International Airport today.

He said Zambians should continue treasuring and maintaining peace as it is cardinal to the economic development of the country.

The Salvation Army International World Leader said no country can develop without peace adding that other countries should emulate Zambia for maintaining peace.

General Kliftton is in the country for five days to attend the Zambia Salvation Army Congress territorial meeting.
