Sam Zulu continues seeking Sata’s arrest for assaulting him

Former Patriotic Front -PF- member Sam Zulu has filed an affidavit before the Lusaka Magistrate asking for the court’s intervention to have PF president Michael Sata and two others arrested for assaulting him.

Mr Zulu’s affidavit follows advice from Lusaka Chief Resident Magistrate Joshua Banda for him to put his complaint on oath.

Magistrate Banda’s advice was in response to Mr Zulu’s letter dated August 11, in which he sought the court’s intervention to have Mr Sata, Mr Kasama and Nchinga arrested.

Mr Zulu has stated in his affidavit filed on Monday, that on June 5, 2009, he was abducted and assaulted by PF cadres at Court Yard Hotel and at the PF secretariat.

Mr Zulu says he reported the matter to Lusaka Central police where a statement was recorded from him and two other persons.

He says it was on police record that the people who abducted him were seven and have since been arrested with one conviction of Judge Ngoma.

Mr Zulu says it is also on police record that after being abducted, he was paraded before Mr Sata who had ordered his abduction, detention and beating by the same cadres.
