Sata’s widow still squatting at her mother’s house

Former first lady Christine Kaseba is still squatting at her parents’ home in Lusaka’s slum area of Libala opposite Top Gun Club, months after the government assured the public that her accommodation woes have been resolved, the Zambian Watchdog has verified.
Yesterday (Tuesday) Dr Kaseba was at her parents place the whole afternoon but when she went back home in the evening, she found the gate closed.
Hersata-kaseba-AFCON-stadium-624x361 vehicle, a black Ranger Rover registration number ALG 3458, was found parked at Sky Club as early as 16 hours.
At around 17 hours, Kaseba accompanied by some family members appeared from the house at Sky Club and before being driven off. Before leaving she interacted with some family members and passbyers for close to 30 minutes.
Kaseba, who in not less than a year commanded a lost of respect and admiration was brought back in the same vehicle at around 19:10 hours but found the gate to her parents home locked.
She spent some minutes knocking on the gate before it could be opened and during that time, the driver waited until she was allowed entry.
“You guys dont know that she stays here, this has been her home and I thought you guys should have known by now,” a female patron at Sky Club told the Zambian watchdog.
During the last sitting of parliament, Justice minister Ngosa Simbyakula told the house that the accomodation woes that surrounded Kaseba, after her eviction from 8 Reed buck lodge had been resolved.
