Confusion has continued haunting the United Party for National Development (UPND) and Patriotic Front (PF) pact.
UPND spokesperson Charles Kakoma has told MUVI TV news that his party has received a letter from the PF Leader, Michael Sata, stating that he has nothing to do with the pact from now on.
Mr. Kakoma says the UPND has challenged Mr. Sata to make available his letter to the public because the pact is not only about the party’s two presidents but the general citizenry.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kakoma has claimed that the UPND has tried to sustain the pact though without effort from the PF.
He says UPND is not happy with the attitude the PF is portraying.
Mr. Kakoma however says UPND will still remain strong with or without the pact.
And when contacted on Phone, PF Secretary-General, Wynter Kabima explained that Mr. Sata wrote the letter to Copperbelt UPND provincial Chairperson, Joe Kalusa, requesting him to apologise, in his capacity as an individual and not the party.
