President Michael Sata has quietly appointed his former campaign manager, Willie Nsanda, as Board Chairman for the lucrative Road Development Agency (RDA) whose operations have been moved to State House.
And Sata has quietly transferred MMD Chilanga MP Keith Mukata from Ministry of Commerce and Industry to Ministry of Tourism and Arts headed by Silvia Masebo.
Sources at State House disclosed the new appointments and re-alignments of Sata’s government and said they were all with immediate effect.
Mr. Nsanda replaces late Luambe Mondoloka, who died in India last week.
Sources have said Nsanda will be operating from the new RDA Head of Office based at State House.
Mr. Nsanda was a casualty of Sata’s first mistake in office when he nominated and appointed him Transport and Communications minister only to drop him after one hour in office when he (Sata) realised he had over-nominated.
On Mukata, sources said the president transferred him from Ministry of Commerce due to complaints from current Minister Bob Sichinga who was uncomfortable with him.
Mukata is one of the MMD MPs who have accepted appointments in the PF government.
