Sata arrives at Munkombwe’s celebrations

President Michael Sata has arrived in Choma en-route to Chief Chikanta’s palace in Kalomo district for celebrations.

Sata who arrived at Choma airstrip at about mid-morning, was received by Southern Province Minister, Daniel Munkombwe and other government and party officials.

Like the Watchdog accurately reported earlier, stopped by Choma and made some proniuncements like that he wants Choma to develop into a proper provincial capital.

He said government will soon start putting up necessary infrastructure to support the new provincial capital status.

He said when he visits Choma next time he would like to inspect the construction works of the new provincial administration headquarters.

President Sata urged the people of Southern Province to join hands with the Patriotic Front government in developing the province.

Sata immediatelly flew  Chief Chikanta’s palace where Munkombwe will be celebrating his appointment as minister.

A few cheap chiefs have been lined up and given speecehes to read where they  will be thanking  Sata  for appointing Daniel Munkombwe as Southern Province Minister.

Since is it diffucult for Sata spend a night far from Lusaka where there are better mediacal facilicities, he is expected to return to Lusaka soon after the function.

He is accompanied by Commerce Minister, Emmanuel Chenda and other PF functiuoneries.
