Sata creates Chilanga district, removes Shamulenge from Northwest

President Michael Sata has appointed Bert Mushala as North Western Province permanent secretary.

And Sata has created a district called Chilanga in Lusaka province.

Mushala replaces David Shamulenge, who has been transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, in the same capacity.

Meanwhile, President Sata has appointed Austin Sichinga as Zambia’s deputy Ambassador to Italy. Prior to the reshuffle Sichinga served as permanent secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.

The changes are with immediate effect.

And President Sata has created Chilanga as a new district.

In a letter to the Provincial Minister, the President directed that he has decided to create a new district called Chilanga district.

He has since advised the provincial minister to liaise with all stakeholders, the political parties and their Royal Highnesses for a suitable place for establishing the district headquarters.
