Patriotic Front leader Michael Sata is this weekend expected in the Eastern province for political campaigns ahead of this year general elections.
And Sata has been having dark corner meetings with some MMD ministers he is trying to bribe to join his party.
According to sources within the PF, Sata is expected in Chipata this Saturday and will be accompanied by Chongwe Member of Parliament Sylvia Masebo, PF secretary general Wynter Kabimba, Inonge Wina who is the national chairperson of the party, Judith Kapijipanga and other senior officials.
Sata is scheduled to hold three public political rallies where he will also unveil Former works and supply deputy minister Lameck Mangani to the public as a member of the PF.
Mangani resigned last week from the ruling MMD and is yet to officially join the Patriotic Front.
And sources have told the Watchdog that the PF is targeting three other senior MMD full cabinet ministers before they could end the loot in the MMD.
The source said Sata has been meeting three cabinet ministers in President Banda’s administration from a lodge in Olympia. Watch this space for the names of the ministers.
The source said Sata has also promised the three named ministers senior cabinet portfolios if they resigned and defected to the opposition PF.
